One year ago on August 11, 2014, I opened the doors of The Creative Arts Building in faith. This is truly the house that faith built! So much has happened that I can't believe that it's been an entire year! I have learned so many lessons in leadership, business ownership and management. I have connected with so many people, I've had a hard time remembering names and when I met them (LOL). Charge it to my head not my heart. I really do love you and appreciate the connection. It's just when your focused and building it takes ALL of you, spirit, soul and body! It just dawned on me that it's been a whole year!!! Where has the time gone!
I would like to personally invite you to join me in celebrating 365 days as a minority owned and operated business in St. Louis! The journey has been beautiful and so enriching. We would like to share our journey with you on Friday, August 14th at the Birthday Celebration of @CABStL from 6-9. Reservations are requested at 314.224.5377 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for your continued love and support!

Visionary & Creative Director
As children, many of us entertained fantasies or even goals of being an actor, singer, dancer, artist, or musician. In some cases, we received enough encouragement to develop our abilities in those creative arenas, but somewhere along the way we stopped. This stopping may have been due to circumstances beyond our control or to our own unconscious acts of self-sabotage. Being creative can be scary in a world that seems to value logic over imagination and practicality over dreaming. We can forgive ourselves for shutting down or turning our attention away from our inner artist, but perhaps we can also take steps to reclaim our dreams. Its time to find your creative outlet @CABStL, if not you then send us your kids! Oh and like us on FB https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Creative-Arts-Building/1454944618099161
As a new CEO of a God sized vision, it became apparent after several months of planning birthing and growing, that I had neglected my self-care. My energy was depleted; immune system was compromised and I became ill; enthusiasm for growing the business was starting to fade; I was gaining weight “quickly” because my eating habits were terrible; mentally I was exhausted and I felt as if the weight of the world was on my shoulders. Oh and I was irritable and my mood was starting to SHOW. I lost sight of self and therefore, was losing control.
The mission of the vision I had birthed was to inspire, empower, and transform communities’ one woman, man and child at a time. Yet the woman in the mirror was desperately in need of a dose of this God sized vision for herself. I’m thankful for the team God has put in place to not only facilitate life transformation in our community, but each other, spirit, soul and body.
